Carl K. Thibodeaux

 

 

Orange County Judge Carl Thibodeaux, the longest sitting judge in Orange County history, to date is serving his 16th year.  His political career began more than 24 years ago,  owner of West Orange Pharmacy for 21 years and mayor of West Orange for eight, holds a 1968 bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from the University of Houston. 

 

Judge Thibodeaux has been presented several awards throughout his years of service.   In 2009 he received the Excellence in the Media Award for Newsmaker of the Year.  In 2007 he received the Frances K. Monk Award for Regional Leadership from the Southeast Texas Regional Planning Commission.  He received the Person of the Year Award 2005-2006 from the Record Newspaper special Service Award, and in 2004 The Helping Hands Award from the Foster Grandparent Program.

Judge Thibodeaux has served as President of the Southeast Texas Regional Planning commission Executive Committee, Vice-President of the Area Emissions Reduction Credit Organization, and Vice-President of the Southeast Texas Development District.
